United Negro College Fund/ Anheuser-Busch Legends of the Crown Scholarship Program

United Negro College Fund/ Anheuser-Busch Legends of the Crown Scholarship Program awards scholarships to college juniors attending a four year accredited Historically Black College or University. Preference is given to students who have an interest in careers within the Consumer Package Goods industry (CPG). 

Candidates must have a GPA of 3.2 or above and write a 250-500 word essay that addresses leadership qualities. Leadership qualities can pertain to leadership in commerce, spiritual, cultural, diplomatic or military. In addition to the essay, applicants must also provide two letters of recommendation from a college adviser or other who can vouch for the student’s capabilities.

Eligible students may major in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and Chemical Engineering; Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics. They must attend a 4-year, accredited historically black college or university (HBCU).

Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. is an American brewing company founded in 1852 and headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. The company operates 12 breweries in the United States. Until December 2009, it also was one of the largest theme park operators in the United States, operating ten theme parks through the company’s family entertainment division, Busch Entertainment Corporation.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in MAY of each year, and the award amount is usually $5,000.
