The American Honda Foundation Scholarship for Male Students in the STEM Fields

The American Honda Foundation Scholarship is directed to male students, who are classified as juniors at any accredited four-year colleges or universities within the United States.  The candidates must be a permanent resident within the selected regions of Los Angeles, California and are enrolled within the one of the STEM fields.  The targeted ares of Los Angeles include the following: Carson, Compton, Harbor City, Long Beach, Lynwood, Watts, Willowbrook and Wilmington. The selected recipients will be awarded up to $2,750 during the 2017-18 year.   The program deadline is January 31, 2018.  

For full award consideration, students must complete the online application including at least a one-page essay describing their career aspirations. Candidates must also invite one reference to submit an academic recommendation online. In addition, the candidates will submit their recent transcript.
