Kerry Washington’s star power has never been so bright.  Every Thursday, we can see Ms. Washington on the small screen starring as Olivia Pope in the best drama series Scandal. In the ABC- red-hot drama she plays a fictional version of real-life crisis manager Judy Smith; the real-life African-American fixer who helped Monica Lewinsky with her issues.

Whether on the big or small screen, the highly ambitious Washington has excelled in a variety of roles and has become a favorite performer of numerous directors.

Washington attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she double majored in Anthropology and Sociology, graduating in 1998 Phi Beta Kappa before continuing to study acting at Michael Howard Studios in New York.

Last year, Vanity Fair included Washington on The Top Ten best-dresses TV characters. Her Scandal role won her Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series at the 44th NAACP Image Awards and she was presented with the NAACP President’s Award.
